I saw this hatchling snapper at the Turtle Pond in Central Park in NY. The pond mostly has Red eared sliders and a few eastern painteds, so I was surprised to see this snapper hatchling in early spring. Big head, very long tail, and swims much better than I thought snappers did.




It was such an immensely cute turtle…so small and tiny. It’s shell was thickly covered with algae.

  1. i got 1 of these ihad 2 but 1 of’em died i was sad but i still got ma best friendand trained him not to bite
