In a quick follow up of the playful eastern painted turtle from the New England Aquarium, here’s another EPT video.

The video contains some great basic information about EPTs and describes them physically, what they eat in the wild, and you what should do if you find one outside.

Keep an eye out for that really tiny and cute hatchling turtle toward the end.

Ray Bosmans of the Home and Garden Information Center introduces the Eastern Painted Turtle. The video is targeted towards home garden enthusiasts, which is why the video states that they are not pets. I agree – if you find painted turtles in the wild, you should help them and leave them be. If you want a pet eastern painted turtle, then I would recommend buying one from a reputable breeder.
