Spotted turtle walking at an aquarium bottom

A spotted turtle in the Boston Museum of Science swims along the bottom of an aquarium. Ok, it was more like a large paludarium – a large aquarium (underwater area) with a large land (above water) area with lots of trees and soil and stuff.

Spotted turtles are native to the eastern US and are mostly carnivorous and eat mostly insects, worms, snails, and fish. They are a small aquatic turtle that grows up to 5″ SCL.
